Matt is a founding partner of Solutions AEC and started the company with the intent to serve the company’s clients in innovative ways that challenge the status quo of the construction industry. He tirelessly pursues developments in automation and prefabrication to look for ways to pursue the corporate 2030 vision. Matt obtained his Missouri Professional Engineering license in 2000 and has continued obtaining licensure as needed for the business. He is LEED certified, Plumbing Design Certified, and able to do Commissioning. While focused on Operations for many of the company’s formidable years he now focuses on The Leadership team and Business Development. Matt is responsible for working collaboratively with the leadership team of SAEC and its affiliated companies to cast vision for the organization as a whole.
Personally, he has served his church for many years on the Board of Directors and been active in their community outreach service work fixing homes for people all over the metro area. Stephanie, Matt's wife of 23 years, enjoy supporting their Alma Mater, Kansas State University, and spending time with their three daughters.
Kregg joined Solutions AEC in 2012 and has approximately 30 years of consulting engineering experience across a diverse array of industries. He became a business partner in Solutions AEC in 2016, carries a BSEE from University of MO. – Columbia, professional engineering licenses in over 20 States, and holds a BICSI Register Communications Distribution Designer certification. He enjoys the never ending creative “opportunities” that a career in construction can bring, and strives to continuously find new ways to bring more value to our team and our construction partners. He finds great satisfaction in continuously trying to learn and improve, while helping others do the same. His best days come when he is able to see growth in our team and knows he was able to be a part of it.
He and his wife Angie enjoy their spare time with their daughter, and serving at their church/school Parish or in their great neighborhood community.
With an emphasis on efficiency and continuous improvement, Kimberly has risen within the ranks of Solutions AEC to serve as Director of Operations in which she leads the Design-Build, Engineering, and Special Services project teams to excellency. Kimberly’s wide range of experience on multiple project types has helped her to grow not only as an engineer but also has allowed her to understand and visualize the Design-Build project cycle from start to finish. She is also an expert on MEP Sustainable Design with work on over 75 LEED projects as a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional. Kimberly received her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2008 as well as receiving her MBA in 2019.
While Kimberly exudes great passion for her work at Solutions AEC, she enjoys being out on the lake catching whatever may happen upon her fishing pole. Most recently, she has taken up building furniture pieces for her home.
Casandra Carney joined the Solutions AEC team in November 2016. As CFO, Casandra provides strategic leadership and is responsible for the financial oversight of the company including all aspects of accounting and finance. She is also responsible for human resources, administrative and contract review services. Casandra holds a B.S. in Accountancy and a M.S. in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. During a career spanning more than two decades Casandra has consistently utilized her passion to drive organizational efficiencies and build strong cross functional teams. Casandra’s ability to dig into the details of opportunities while keeping the company goals and vision in focus make her a valued member of our leadership team. Her past experience in energy, distribution, manufacturing and service industries provide for a unique perspective and experiences she brings to her role every day.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and twin boys on their family farm.
Matt Spencer is the Managing Director of the Phoenix office with over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. With a wide range of project experience, Matt continues to build and grow the Phoenix office and its clients. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from Kansas State University where he met his wife, Emily. They have recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and spend a lot of their free time with their two beautiful daughters and their dog, Remi. His favorite quote is, “Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.” – John Wooden
Joseph (Joe) Remson is the Operations Manager of the Phoenix office with more than three decades of experience. From Manufacturing Engineer, to Electrical Contractor, to Electrical Engineer, Project Manager, Director, and Associate Principal; Joe arrived in Arizona from the East Coast in 2019 with a breadth of varying experience that has served him well. This Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, and Green Building Engineer works tirelessly to build relationships with clients and grow the Phoenix office. His passion for the construction industry and design-build engineering makes him an invaluable member of any project team. Joe graduated from the University of Connecticut with an Electrical Engineering degree and an MBA in Management, and was honored with the “Legend in Energy” award from the Association of Energy Engineers.
Off hours, Joe enjoys running, travel and hiking. He has been married to his wife Alex for 12 years and has 4 grown kids.
