Tell us about yourself.
I grew up in God's Country, of course I'm talking about Springfield, IL. I have one brother; he's a dork and is 4 years younger than myself. Also has red hair, and clearly, I got the good looks. My idea of an ideal vacation is sitting in the deer stand for days on end. Most folks head to the beach, I head to the woods. That's my sanctuary.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
The thrill of the hunt... it's in my blood.
If you could pick one theme for SAEC to turn into a book about the company, what would it be?
The unique family atmosphere. And I'm not talking about spouses and children, which by the way is very important here, but I'm talking about the fact that we treat each other as if they are our family.
Before working at SAEC, what was the most unusual or interesting job you've ever had?
It's not really unusual where I'm from, but maybe it is around here...growing up I used to bale a lot of hay.
Name your favorite movie or TV show quote.
"Yo, bartender, Jobu needs a refill" ~ Major League. Second favorite movie behind Top Gun.
What is a random fact that most may not know about you?
I have jumped out of a perfectly good airplane. And it was awesome.
Describe what you were like at age 10.
I played a ton of baseball; you couldn't get me inside. Ever.
What is your office nickname?
If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?
Donald Trump. Bring. It. On.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
The Wright Brothers' first flight.
What children's character can you relate with most and why?
Michelangelo because I try to be free spirited and also, I love pizza. A lot.
What have you always wanted to try but never have?
I would have loved to be able to go dirt track track racing on a Friday night under the lights. That would be awesome; I feel like I could hold my own.
What is the last joke you recall?
A few weeks ago, I asked my 5-year-old son why the chicken crossed the road. Obviously to get to the other side. Right away he replied "Why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide!". I sat there in disbelief, nearly fell over. He's going to be a witty one...
Where is the best place you have traveled to and why?
I was travelling to Seattle quite a bit a few years ago for a job. I was able to take a day and visit Mt. Rainier, it was majestic and breathtaking. Just beautiful. That was a great day
What is the weirdest thing you have on your desk?
Right now, a head massager.
