Sr. Mechanical Design-Build Project Manager

Solutions AEC is an innovation leader in the delivery of Engineering led design build MEP construction services. We are seeking individuals with the right passion and skill sets that are aligned with our vision. Currently we are seeking a Senior DB Mechanical Project Manager with experience in engineering, design and construction for large design build projects.
This individual would be responsible for representing Solutions AEC on a national playing field, leading a diverse team on design build projects. This individual would participate in and manage the overall project process from sales, estimating, design, buyout, and project management. We are looking for an individual who in addition to the responsibilities and qualifications noted below has a strong work ethic, a passion for design build and continuous improvement, is a good client steward and who believes in and embraces servant leadership.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee all aspects of a particular project for the organization to ensure all projects are completed on-time, within budget, and exceed client expectations
- Lead the preconstruction services by budgeting, scheduling, and defining roles and responsibilities
- Attend meetings with existing and potential clients to deepen relationships that will potentially lead to additional work for the organization
- Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scopes of work, and objectives
- Initiate the billing process, review and approve all invoices prior to submittal to client
- Lead value engineering and value enhancement efforts as required
- Monitor scope for changes affecting budget and/or schedule, initiate and track client and subcontractor change orders when necessary
- Prepare constructability reviews of all projects providing feedback to the Pre-Construction team
- Oversee the preparation of estimates into the proposal format to client. Consult with estimators and the Executive Team in arriving at bid amount, format, and exclusions/qualifications
- Review all client contracts and initiate and review all subcontractor contracts required for execution of all projects. Lead in the selection of subcontractors and vendors
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or construction field
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design build engineering, estimating and project management
- A demonstratable history of maintaining and growing client relationships
- Must enjoy working in a team setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required
